Taylor Keys, O.D.

Dr. Taylor Keys, an Optometrist, joined the practice at Deep Blue Retina in 2023 where she has roles in patient care and research. Her professional training started in her home town of Wichita, Kansas where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s degree from Wichita State University. In 2012, she completed her studies at Southern College of Optometry graduating Cum Laude with the Doctor of Optometry degree. During her time as a student, she was recognized with the Outstanding Student Clinician Award. She went on to further her Optometric training by completing a residency in Primary Eye Care at the Robert J. Dole Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Memphis TN.

In 2013, Dr. Keys joined the faculty at Southern College of Optometry serving in a variety of roles, including Co-Director of the Quality Enhancement Plan, course and lab instruction in retinal disease and retinal examination techniques, and clinical roles in the Advanced Care/Ocular Disease clinic and Adult Primary Care clinics. During her time as an Associate Professor, she also became a published author, a respected lecturer, and won Teacher of the Year twice.

Dr. Keys is board certified by the American Board of Optometry and has special interests in retinal and neuro-eye diseases and incorporating new technology into her practice. She is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Tennessee Association of Optometric Physicians.

In her free time, Dr. Keys enjoys boating and playing beach volleyball, but mostly dedicates herself to caring for her son, Walker.
